Jeanette Verdone

Education: Wheelock College- Bachelor of Science in Education with a dual-concentration in Early Childhood, and Elementary with Special Needs

 

Work experience: Before coming to Prospect Hill Academy, Mrs. Verdone taught kindergarten for eight years at John Winthrop Nursery school in Boston. In 1999 she came to PHA and has taught first grade, math K-5, 3rd grade, and English as Second language.

 

Hobbies and interests: Mrs. Verdone enjoys cooking and baking, spending time with her children, visiting the museums and historical sites of New England and staying connected with students.

 

Why did you choose to work at Prospect Hill Academy?: "I continue to work at PHA because I love the culturally and linguistically diverse community here. Also, I appreciate the approach PHA takes in teaching the whole child. They have truly built a unique community in which faculty, staff, students, and families are encouraged and supported to step out of their comfort zone to grow and learn together."
