So far this school year, more than 800 unique PHA students (74% of the student body) have enjoyed at least one if not several integrated field trips to the Museum (including an overnight Museum stay for 6th grade) as well as interactive visits to the school from the Museum's traveling education department, presenting on exciting STEM topics ranging from Animal Adaptations to Engineering Bridges.
Furthermore, PHA has also benefited from access to curriculum resources and professional development provided by the Museum, as well as use of the Museum's spaces for critical departmental meetings. Most notably, the Museum hosted PHA's inaugural K-12 Computer Science Department meeting in their Teacher Resource Center, as well as PHA's first K-8 science curriculum meeting to support our adoption of Amplify Science, an innovative, inquiry-based science program.
Our partnership was celebrated in the below video unveiled at the Museum of Science's Stars of STEM Celebration on April 11th to an audience of more than 600 guests.
